Even though the resurgence of the coronavirus pandemic continues to challenge the world, Volleyball does not stop to thrive across Europe and this applies to the Small Countries Association (SCA) as well. The SCA have just confirmed plans for the delivery of their U19 Women and U20 Men Championships for the spring of 2022.

The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg will be hosting the women’s U19 competition from April 7 to 11, 2022, with participation of six teams – Faroe Islands, Gibraltar, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta and Northern Ireland. They will be contesting a single round robin to define the final standing and the eventual champions.

The Republic of Ireland will be hosting the U20 men’s event from April 11 to 15, 2022 – the very first time the country has played host to a Volleyball competition of this calibre in a very long time. The home side will be playing their peers from Andorra, Faroe Islands, Luxembourg and Northern Ireland – in a single round robin following the very same format of the U19 women’s competition.

Meanwhile, the SCA are drafting plans for the delivery of their senior championships as well – so there is definitely something to look forward to for teams and fans from the SCA member countries!
