SCD Vice President to lead San Marino’s delegation at Tokyo 2020 Olympics

The Sammarinese Volleyball Federation (FSPAV) as well as the CEV Small Countries IMG_8370_risultato-1100x733.x70351Division (SCD) have something special to celebrate since FSPAV Secretary General and SCD Vice President Federico Valentini (pictured) will be San Marino’s Chef de Mission at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

The Sammarinese National Olympic Committee announced their decision following a meeting held on Thursday night where they reviewed the country’s successful participation in the 2018 Mediterranean Games held in Tarragona, where San Marino claimed two gold medals – in boules and shooting.

Valentini was San Marino’s Chef de Mission in Tarragona as well and after the Olympic Committee deserved positive reviews to the work he delivered in Spain, he will now take on the much higher responsibility of leading San Marino’s delegation at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

The whole of Europe’s Volleyball family extends warmest congratulations to Federico, while wishing him the best of success in his endeavours.
