School Project activities reach pupils from Reykjavik area in Iceland

This past March, the Icelandic Volleyball Association (BLI) did run some activities in schools of the capital area as they continue to expand the reach of the CEV School Project ‘Play Volleyball – Grow with it’ across the country.

The BLI delegation repeated a previous visit to Helgafellskóli to reach 37 kids born in 2011 and 32 born in 2012. The response was very positive, and the organisers hope some of those kids will join clubs from the area in the future. They did run lessons in Hvassaleitiskóli, Reykjavík, as well, with 27 and 28 kids born in 2010 and 2011 respectively.

“We are planning on visiting some more schools in the next months and we would also like to organise some educational events. This is a busy time of the year for the Icelandic Volleyball Federation, but we hope we will find time for more school activities.”
