Andorra leads the way for this year‘s first SCA Volleyball Championships

It is with pleasure and pride that Andorra organizes its first SCA Volleyball competition for more than a decade. The coming week will bring 5 teams competing for the SCA U20 Men’s Championships in Andorra la Vella from April 4th to April 9th. Besides the organizers in Andorra, five visiting teams from Gibraltar, Luxembourg, Ireland and Northern Ireland will gather for this important event. The organising committee for the competition has worked hard since last year to secure all the needed resources and already last week, almost one week prior to the start of the event Complex Sportiu i Sociocultural d’Encamp was ready for play, waiting eagerly for balls flying again in Andorra.

For Andorra, this is also a major important preparation for the GSSE Games in 2025 where Volleyball will be back on the map and for the country‘s future men‘s national team. The president of the Andorra Volleyball Federation Xavier Folguera stated on the occasion for this event that: ,The trust placed in our federation motivates us to make an effort so that the competition develops to the liking of all the participants and that they take away pleasant memories from their competition days in Andorra.’
