School Project activities re-start in Iceland with focus on education

After the break due to the holiday season, the Icelandic Volleyball Association (BLI) resumed their CEV School Project activities in January with a focus on education.

The BLI delivered a referee course, followed by a Level-1 Coaching Course, with participation of 10 assistants from Reykjavik and the surrounding areas. In addition to that, following the establishment of a collaboration with the University of Iceland, students from the Volleyball course at the Faculty of Sports Sciences will have access to the license of Level-2 Volleyball coach, which will allow the BLI to reach a much greater number of potential teachers in the coming years.

Next to all these courses, the BLI organised an open camp for boys and girls aged 10 to 12. Young players from different areas of the Icelandic capital city participated in the camp – enjoying the time they spent with some of their future coaches.
