Scottish Volleyball, in partnership with FIVB and sportscotland, is seeking to recruit a High-Performance (Indoor) Coach and Coaching Manager to plan, implement and lead the performance success and development of their indoor National Team programmes and Coach Education in Scotland.
This unique and exciting job opportunity will give the post holder the chance to add value to existing Senior and Junior National Team indoor programmes and help develop Scottish volunteer coaches and coaching network across the country and internationally. The post holder will have an overarching lead role in all indoor teams but with specific emphasis on junior female preparations for the CEV U20 European Championship in 2024.
This post is initially offered for a 12-month fixed term contract. Subsequent funding for a continuation of the position (past the initial 12-month appointment) will be dependent on a review of the role and the positive results against outcomes set within the initial appointment.
The successful candidate will share Scottish Volleyball passion and vision for the development of high-performance Volleyball and the appointed person will be required to demonstrate a proven record of successful work with indoor national teams, athletes, programme management, and coach education.
In addition to coaching experience, knowledge required for the role also includes finance management, project delivery, IT, and statistical analysis, together with excellent leadership, planning, and communication skills. Spoken English is essential. Required also is the ability to influence, network and develop coaching and coaching contacts successfully within Volleyball at an international level.
Full time, part-time and flexible hours option will be considered for discussion with the successful candidate. Scottish Volleyball will also consider employment, consultancy, or secondment arrangements with agreement from current employer.
